The Grind began as a family business with a simple vision: to create a place that felt different. We wanted something more than a big-box experience—somewhere you weren’t just another number, but a familiar face and a friend. From the very beginning, our heart has been about building community and family, one cup of coffee at a time.
We’re proud to serve craft coffee made with only the best locally ground beans around, carefully selected to bring quality and flavor into every cup. As the world around us has changed, we’ve grown and adapted too—learning, evolving, and always striving to serve our community better.
What started as a small family dream has grown into something much bigger, built on hard work, passion, and the grit of local families who believe in supporting one another. At The Grind, coffee is just the beginning—it’s about connection, community, and creating a place that feels like home.
WVU Jackson General Hospital
The Grind at WVU Jackson General Hospital is conveniently located just inside the main entrance, inside the hospital gift shop. Open five days a week, we're proud to serve both the hospital staff and the public with quality coffee and a welcoming space to grab your favorite drink - whether you're starting a shift, visiting a loved one, or just stopping by.
Moblie Unit
Fueled by Coffee, Driven by Community
The Grind Mobile Unit is primarily set up in Ripley, WV, serving up the same great coffee you know and love in a convenient, mobile way. While Ripley is our home base, we're also available to book for events, workplaces, churches, and community gatherings. Wherever we go, out goal is simple: great coffee, meaningful connections and showing up for our community - one cup at a time.
